A ‘Main Street’ connector promotes connectivity, interaction and chance encounters between teams and individuals and an economic 33-foot structural bay throughout aligns with lab planning modules to provide long term flexibility.
Different spaces, especially for certification labs, had strict temperature and humidity requirements that needed to be met by the engineering team in their infrastructure design.
HED took a unique hybrid ventilation system approach to HVAC that involved mechanical units and distribution systems designed to supply both the lab and office spaces, leading to overall energy efficiencies and a dramatic increase in fresh air.
A loft-like two-story structure with contiguous labs workplace neighborhoods and daylight filled collaborative spaces come together to promote a speed-to-innovation environment that inspires and activates employees and teams.
Our integrated practice allowed us to accelerate the schedule and solve problems—like very complex labs with immense amounts of infrastructure—to meet the lean budget.
